PORTUGUESE ISLAND, MOZAMBIQUE
Hurray! This was my FIRST TRAVEL DESTINATION OUTSIDE MY COUNTRY!!! and I'm really, really happy because it is a beach exclusive for MSC Sinfonia guests, and crew members. Been long time working inside the ship since I embark on March 24, 2017, and after less than 2 weeks of hard work, exactly in my birth month, I've been able to go outside and stooped down in this beautiful island.
Going to Portuguese Island, we need to ride a tender boat for about 10-15 minutes. This ride was absolutely exciting, the speed was very fast that makes the water splash on us. Haven't arrived yet in our workplace but we're already wet haha! (Not to mention, I came here for work also.) I'm not a guest, so I still need to work. It's just perks of being a crew member of the ship that we can go to places like our guests do, too.
Here, there are lots of activities to enjoy while under the sun that's why a lot of people join the cruise every 3 days. The maximum capacity of the ship for passengers is 2,300 and 721 for crew. Guests can enjoy some water activities, excursions, spa, bar, souvenir shops, buffet style for food and a live band to serenade them while having some drinks.
Of course, we came there to work and enjoy also. I told to my one Filipino colleague that it's best to spend our duty there because we don't feel that we are working, it feels like we are guests too.
Now that my journey traveling around the world has begun, I'm looking forward for more beautiful places to see and discover something new in each country that we're going to.
Happy travels!
