ONE DAY IN THE FIRST SEA ORGAN IN THE WORLD | ZADAR, CROATIA
As we continue our cruise ship itinerary during our crossing from South Africa to Europe, Zadar was also included in it. This city is located in Croatia's dalmatian coast. Before we arrive there, crew members of our ship were already talking about its famous Peninsular Old Town. Honestly, I just want to walk around the city, take photos, buy some souvenirs, and of course eat something in a restaurant. They say it is rich in cultural heritage, and this city is the First Sea Organ in the World - it means that it is an architectural sound art object and an experimental musical instrument which plays music by way of sea waves and tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps.
As we walk by the seashore, I really heard that sound and it's so amazing how they made it.
I noticed also that In Zadar you can wander quiet streets of marble, yes, it's marble! And it looks like no one ever stoop down on it because it shines like a newly-polished floor.
We just tried some ice cream while strolling around and it's huge! I wish we could’ve stayed longer so we can walk more around the beautiful streets of Zadar, but who knows? Maybe one of these days our cruise ship will duct again here.
Happy travels!
