BACK TO THE OLD TIMES AT OLD TOWN | DUBROVNIK, CROATIA
Not a big fan of Game of Thrones series but I've got to visit the place where they filmed its famous scenes here in Old Town, Dubrovnik, Croatia. I don't have much time to go exactly to all those places due to lack of break time away from work at the cruise ship but I still captured some fascinating areas around this city.
So, we bought tickets to go to The City Walls. 150 KUNA (kn) (croatian money) for adults per ticket and 50kn for kids. I want to explore more of this place and see the the different views on top that's why we decided to buy these tickets. You will see all the photos below how fascinating the Old Town is.
The City Walls provide one of the best views of Old Town. From this view, you can notice that all the roofs are like tangy color, you will see the City Cathedral, the Church of St. Blaise, the Sponza Palace (the city archive), the Rector’s Palace, the bell towers, and the Orlando’s Column. All those beautiful monuments are the finest examples of the late medieval and early renaissance architecture.
I really enjoyed walking around the Old Town. There is so much to see aside from the history within its walls. There's a lot of souvenir shop, different restaurants offering delicious mediterranean cuisine, the view of the sea and its crystal clear waters, the constant chatter of the locals on the narrow, busy streets.. ahh there's too much! Even given only little time to explore, I still managed to make the most of it. Will definitely visit the setting for King’s Landing in Game of Thrones next time haha!
Happy travels!
