Pililia Wind Farm | Tanay, Rizal

Why go as far as Bangui Windmills at Ilocos Norte if there is already a wind farm at Tanay, Rizal? Just a 2-3 hour drive from Manila, you will get to see 27 wind turbine generators of Pililia Windmills located on top of the hills overlooking the beautiful plains of Tanay, Rizal. In fact, the company which operates Bangui Windmills in Ilocos Norte and Pililia Windmills are just the same.

After our hike at Mt. Batolusong and a quick dip into Kay-Ibon falls, we had our lunch at Cafe Katerina located along the road of Tanay, Rizal, and right after that we went straight to our side trip which is the Pililia Windmills. We took about an hour before we reach our destination because first, my workmate (our driver) was not so familiar in that place, the only thing we do is to ask locals while we're on our way and the second reason is 45% of the road is kinda rough and rocky that's why bringing small cars are not advisable.

I think the location is just perfect because for me, the grassland made the scenery more even beautiful and appealing to the eyes unlike to the Bangui Windmills that are located at the beach but still they're both beautiful. Truly Tanay province has so much places to offer, it never failed to surprise me.

Happy travels!
